Description
Helius 1200 Color Sorter, designed to effectively remove undesired discolorations, foreign materials, defects, blemishes, and contaminations that are not visible to the human eye. Sort detection area is approximately 30" wide. Unwanted materials are ejected through a front or rear ejection system after the produce is inspected. By positioning the manifold before or behind the product, the Helius 1200 achieves higher rejection accuracy, improved efficiency, and consistent sorting results. New in 2006.

Principle of operation: A feed shaker or hopper evenly distributes the product along a free-fall chute. As the product descends into the inspection zone, lasers scan it for any defects. Within milliseconds, precise and powerful bursts of air are directed at the identified defects, propelling them into the rejection zone. Meanwhile, the good product continues its natural free-fall. This technology is particularly suitable for growers and processors who sort nuts, dried fruit, individually quick frozen (IQF) fruit, and vegetables.
