General Information
GEA is a German manufacturer of industrial processing equipment and separation technology. Its Westfalia Separator division specializes in centrifugal separation systems, including decanter centrifuges, disc-stack separators, and associated process equipment. GEA decanter centrifuges are used in applications such as wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, food processing, chemical manufacturing, biotechnology, and industrial liquid clarification.
A decanter centrifuge operates by rotating a cylindrical-conical bowl at high speed. Centrifugal force separates solids from liquids based on density differences. An internal screw conveyor transports separated solids toward the discharge while clarified liquid exits through designated outlets.
