American Process Systems Model PO50-5381 pneumatic empty bag compactor, Equipment Type PBC-50, manufactured March 5, 1999. Designed for compacting empty bags discharged from a bag dump or unloading station. Unit is compressed-air actuated and uses a vertical pneumatic compaction mechanism to compress discarded bags within an enclosed chamber. Compaction compartment measures approximately 24 in W x 17 in L x 38 in H with a 24 in L x 7 in H bag inlet. Stainless steel enclosed cabinet construction with hinged access doors. Controls include Extend and Retract pushbuttons, Bag Full indicator, Reset control, air pressure gauge, and emergency stop. Internal pneumatic system includes air cylinders, valves, tubing, manifold and associated controls. Unit can be paired with a bag dump station for handling and reducing the volume of empty product bags.
