Description
2021 VetterTec stainless steel spray drying and flash drying system designed for combustible powder processing. Primary dryer is a 138 in diameter pressure-nozzle spray dryer with approximately 450–600 kg/hr estimated evaporation capacity, 316L stainless steel pressure nozzle atomizer, dehumidified inlet air, cyclone product recovery, pulse-jet bag filter, and exhaust fan. Spray chamber is approximately 138 in ID with approximately 47 m³ volume and is constructed of AISI 304L stainless steel. System includes a 12 in flash dryer polishing section designed for approximately 75–150 kg/hr additional water removal and 150–500 kg/hr dry-solids handling depending on product. Includes VetterTec process equipment, cyclone, baghouse, rotary valves, sanitary components, structural support steel, platforms, ladders, access walkways, ductwork, controls, and associated process equipment. Direct-fired process air heating equipment includes Stelter & Brinck natural-gas-fired air heaters rated up to approximately 15 MMBTU/hr

General Information
VetterTec manufactures industrial drying systems used for powder, food, chemical, starch, protein, fermentation, and other process applications. This system combines pressure-nozzle spray drying with a separate flash-drying polishing stage, allowing primary moisture evaporation followed by additional moisture removal and product conditioning. The cyclone and pulse-jet bag filter provide downstream powder recovery, while the system's combustible-powder design incorporates explosion venting and associated process controls.
