Produce washing, singulating, optical inspection, sorting, and grading line; MAF RODA Agrobotic 8-Lane Sorting & Presizing System. System includes bin dumping tank/equipment, product transfer flumes, high-pressure water washing sections, roller and brush cleaning equipment, singulating conveyors, scanner/camera inspection equipment, multi-lane conveying, and multiple automated drop-bin stations. Photos show stainless steel processing equipment with roller beds, green brush sections, overhead drying/cooling fans, multi-lane singulation conveyors, and an IDD 4 inspection/sorting section. Product is conveyed through the line for washing and cleaning, separated into individual lanes for camera/scanner inspection and grading, then automatically directed to designated drop bins. Drop-bin area includes multiple independently driven stations and overhead material-handling equipment for bins. The existing camera technology and portions of the automation are due for a refresh. The system could be brought to full working condition relatively simply with MAF support; however, upgrading the line to perform to modern specifications would require a controls and camera system upgrade. Suitable for commercial fruit and vegetable washing, inspection, grading, sorting, and packing operations.
