Description
Alfa Laval Brew 20 compact skid-mounted centrifugal separation system built around an Alfa Laval Model LAPX 404 SPG-31GC self-cleaning disc stack separator. Designed for craft brewery and brewpub applications, the system provides continuous clarification by separating suspended yeast, hops, and other solids from beer using high-speed centrifugal force. The skid includes the disc stack separator, feed and discharge piping, heat exchanger, pumps, instrumentation, control panel, valves, and associated process components. Stainless steel sanitary process piping and skid-mounted construction provide a compact integrated system for installation in brewery processing lines. The self-cleaning separator is designed for automatic solids discharge, reducing the need to stop production for manual bowl cleaning.

General Information
Alfa Laval Brew-series centrifugal separators are intended for brewery clarification applications where removal of yeast and suspended solids is required while maintaining a continuous processing operation. Disc stack centrifuges generate substantially higher separation forces than gravity settling, allowing fine suspended solids to be removed from the beer stream in a compact footprint. The Brew 20 configuration is particularly suited to craft breweries, brewpubs, pilot breweries, and other small-to-medium-scale beverage processing operations.
