Description
FMC ABRS single-door rotary retort, manufactured in 1997, Serial No. 4023-3-97, constructed of stainless steel and skid mounted with associated piping, valves, instrumentation, and controls. Retort chamber measures approximately 35 in. ID x 36 in. deep and includes an interior product basket with rotary support assembly. Pressure vessel is National Board No. 3041 and rated for a maximum allowable working pressure of 75 PSI at 300°F, with a minimum design metal temperature of 60°F at 75 PSI. Equipped with an FMC FoodTech Log-Tec Momentum digital control system and Honeywell Truline circular chart recorder. Unit includes sanitary/process piping, pressure and temperature instrumentation, control valves, safety relief components, and stainless steel electrical control enclosure. Complete skid-mounted configuration suitable for batch thermal processing and sterilization of packaged food products.

General Information
FMC retort systems were widely used for commercial thermal processing of canned and packaged foods.
