Description

FEECO International indirect-fired rotary kiln system with 4.5' diameter x 50' long 304L stainless steel, refractory-lined processing chamber and approximate throughput of 2.36 TPH. Equipped with Process Combustion Systems multi-zone natural gas heating system with (11) high-velocity burners across three independently controlled zones. Zone 1 includes (5) 0.4 MMBtu/hr burners providing 2.0 MMBtu/hr over approximately 17', designed to heat material to 300°C (572°F), with shell temperature design of approximately 480°C (896°F). Zone 2 includes (5) 0.15 MMBtu/hr burners providing 0.75 MMBtu/hr over approximately 18', designed to maintain material at approximately 300°C (572°F). Kiln is trunnion supported with girth gear and pinion drive, Marathon Black Max inverter-duty motor and gear reducer. Controls include Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC, PanelView HMI, and Fireye burner management system with automated sequencing, temperature control, and safety interlocks. Suitable for calcination, thermal desorption, reduction roasting, and other controlled-atmosphere thermal processing applications.
