General Information
Shell and tube heat exchangers are widely used in industrial processes for heating, cooling, and condensing fluids. They consist of a bundle of tubes enclosed within a cylindrical shell, allowing one fluid to flow through the tubes while another flows over them, enabling efficient heat transfer. Units built to TEMA standards, such as this B-category exchanger, are designed for reliability and ease of maintenance. Stainless steel construction, particularly with 316L tubes, is ideal for sanitary and corrosive applications, making these exchangers common in food processing, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Their robust design allows them to handle high pressures and temperatures while maintaining efficient thermal performance.
