Description
Buflovak / Hebeler double-effect reverse-fed rising/falling film evaporator system, designed for concentrating hydrolyzed slurry or similar food and protein-based liquids. Rated for approximately 6,500 lb/hr feed (13 GPM) with 15 wt% solids, evaporating 4,140 lb/hr of water and producing concentrate at 41 wt% solids. Includes (2) vertical shell and tube effects (24" dia. x 84" L), vapor-liquid separators (48" and 54" dia.), vertical surface condenser, plate and frame cooler rated 180,000 BTU/hr, and transfer heater rated 58,000 BTU/hr. Equipped with SIHI liquid ring vacuum pump (130 ACFM @ 75 Torr, 7.5 HP), (5) stainless steel centrifugal pumps with VFDs, Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC with PanelView Plus 7 HMI, and PowerFlex drives.

General Information
Constructed of 316L stainless steel for all product contact surfaces, with 304L stainless utility and structural components. Mounted on dual stainless steel skids with platform, ladder, and stainless grating deck. Designed for low-temperature, low-residence-time operation to minimize color degradation and fouling.
