General Information
Flume wash systems are widely used throughout the fresh produce industry for washing and transporting leafy greens, lettuce, spinach, herbs, vegetables, and other delicate food products. Products are suspended in flowing water, minimizing mechanical handling while effectively removing soil, debris, and field contaminants. Perforated dunk reels improve washing efficiency by gently submerging floating products beneath the water surface for enhanced cleaning. Integrated recirculation pumps and chilled water systems help maintain consistent wash quality, improve product freshness, and reduce water consumption. These systems are commonly installed ahead of dewatering, drying, inspection, and packaging equipment in fresh-cut produce processing facilities.
