1. Q: Why buy used machinery?

A: Used equipment rarely exceeds 50% of the current replacement cost. It is usually available for immediate shipment. Complete processes and plants can be purchased for the value of the equipment only, saving all costs of engineering procurement and many other startup costs.

Our inventory of food, chemical and minerals processing equipment is one of the largest in the industry. We are one of the largest exporters of used machinery in the United States.

3. Q: How do I find out if you have what I am looking for?

A: If you know specifically the manufacturer, the model number or type of equipment you are looking for, you can either type it into our search window or go to our category listings to find the equipment. Our inventory is categorized with many sub-categories and sub-sub-categories.

Should you still not be able to find what you are looking for, simply e-mail us your requirements and we will be happy to respond immediately with quotations on any equipment we feel meets your application.

4. Q: I have equipment for sale, are you interested?

A: Obviously we buy and sell many different types of equipment. By e-mailing us a simple inventory list of the equipment and perhaps some photographs, we will respond immediately with our ideas as to how best to maximize your return on this equipment.

5. Q: Do you handle complete plants or manufacturing operations?

A: Machinery and Equipment Company purchases outright many plants and manufacturing lines. We also act as brokers and can attempt to find an operator or user of your equipment. Should the situation dictate, we can also include dismantling and demolition, real estate, raw materials and other intangibles with our proposal to you.

6. Q: I need to determine the value of some of my equipment, can you help?

A: Within reason we would be happy to supply our estimate of value of used equipment over the telephone at no charge or obligation to you. Obviously, the more information we have, the more accurate our appraisal will be. Should the appraisal require a visit to your plant site, we charge a simple per diem fee plus travel expenses. We regularly do appraisals for individuals, companies, financial and accounting institutions, banks and leasing companies.

7. Q: I want to produce a certain type of product and I am not sure how. Can you help me?

A: Although, we are not an engineering company, we have been in literally thousands of food processing, chemical processing, waste treatment, pharmaceutical and other types of plants. We can in most instances recommend certain types of equipment that can be used for your process or suggest the correct manufacturers to go to for further information. In many instances, we may know about a plant or process line which would fit your requirements. When that does happen, the start up time is reduced dramatically and the financial savings are quite significant.
