BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

Machinery and Equipment Company, founded in 1938 in San Francisco, California, has grown to be the largest diversified used equipment dealer in the western United States. "M & E" specializes in all types of process equipment for the food, chemical and minerals processing industries. Recognized as a leader in the industry in marketing, we regularly advertise in over 24 monthly trade publications and publish a quarterly index of used machinery which is our general catalog.

Machinery and Equipment Company buys complete plants, brokers and consigns equipment from operations all over the world. Our expertise is utilized by large and small companies to maximize their return on idle or surplus capital equipment.

In today's economic climate we have emphasized sales to overseas markets. Our emphasis, in particular, has been to Latin and South American countries and we have an extremely well regarded International Division specifically dealing with these markets.

CORPORATE STRUCTURE

Machinery and Equipment Company headquarters and corporate offices are In Brisbane, California near the San Francisco airport. Sales personnel along with all accounting functions, computer and advertising staff and our reconditioning shop are at this site. Our Southern California office is in San Dimas, California and consists of a sales office with our heavy rebuilding shop and clerical staff. Our newly acquired 40 acre Chowchilla storage yard provides us with virtually unlimited room for long term storage of large items.

We enjoy a solid relationship with Bank of America for our lines of credit and banking related matters. We have close ties with their International Department and are able to simplify International transactions and negotiations of Letters of Credit with their people.
